What is The Energy Network?
The Energy Network was authorized by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in 2012 to harness the collective power of residents, businesses, and the public sector to achieve an unprecedented level of energy savings across Southern California.
At no cost to agencies, The Energy Network identifies energy saving measures and works side-by-side with agency staff from designing performance specifications through construction to help accomplish energy efficiency projects.
The Energy Network does this by offering a full turnkey solution that makes cost effective upgrades to public facilities faster than was previously possible. Services include project start-to-finish management support, technical assistance, access to financing, competitively bid specialty contractors, transparent pricing and assistance with utility rebate processing, and access to a web-based energy information management system (EEMIS) to monitor, analyze, and benchmark facility energy usage and costs.
This program is administered by the County of Los Angeles and funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the CPUC. The program is available to more than 700 public agencies in Southern California. Click here to view our coverage area.
Energy costs can be one of the highest expenses for a business. To cut utility bills and save time, The Energy Network, at no cost, helps business and property owners identify energy saving measures and secure the financing, as well as the applicable incentives and rebates needed to reduce energy usage and improve bottom-line operating costs. Whether it’s a single system replacement or a major rehabilitation project, The Energy Network’s experts will create a customized plan to take advantage of all energy saving opportunities. A win-win for business and the environment.
As part of its core mission, The Energy Network provides resources and assistance to homeowners and property owners who are planning residential energy efficiency upgrades. We do this by providing information and money-saving resources in collaboration with local agencies, governments and stakeholders.
Services include rebate and incentive offerings for qualifying energy efficiency upgrades, attractive financing terms for eligible residential solar and energy saving improvements, tools to help identify contractors, energy efficiency training, and other resources that help homeowners take the next step toward saving energy.
Our offerings are administered by the County of Los Angeles and funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the CPUC. We support residents in the Southern California Edison and Southern California Gas Company service territories, encompassing the counties of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Riverside, Ventura, Inyo, Imperial, and Mono, as well as portions of the counties of Orange, Kern, Tulare, Santa Barbara, and Kings.
