Most public agencies recognize that energy efficiency is a high priority, but achieving it can be daunting without the proper expertise and resources.

The Energy Network is here to help.

What is The Energy Network?

The Energy Network was authorized by the California Public Utilities Commission (CPUC) in 2012 to harness the collective power of residents, businesses, and the public sector to achieve an unprecedented level of energy savings across Southern California.

Public Agencies

The Energy Network Public Agency Program will identify energy saving measures and work side-by-side with your staff from design through construction to help you accomplish energy efficiency projects. All services provided by The Energy Network are provided at no cost, however agencies are responsible for all construction costs.

We will help arrange financing and handle the utility rebate incentive process on your behalf. In addition, we will provide access to on-call, high-quality energy retrofit construction professionals through the National Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA).

For agencies already participating in a public energy efficiency program The Energy Network can complement existing services so that goals are reached sooner.

Whether your agency is considering a building retrofit or a single measure such as retrofitting streetlights or water systems, The Energy Network can help design and implement the project.  We are your trusted third-party experts.

The Energy Network services are available to the more than 700 public agencies in Southern California (map)

This program is administered by the County of Los Angeles and funded by California utility ratepayers under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission.
